Product Specification

Sodium Nitrite is an odorless, yellowish white, crystalline (sand-like) granule, rod or powder. It is used in heat transfer salts, metal treatment and finishing, as a color fixative and preservative for meats and fish, in pharmaceuticals, and as an antidote for Cyanide poisoning.

Sodium nitrite is toxic to the human body. After entering the bloodstream, it binds with hemoglobin, causing tissue hypoxia and potentially leading to poisoning. The maximum daily intake for the human body should not exceed 0.3 grams, as exceeding this limit may lead to sodium nitrite poisoning or even death.

In terms of food additives, the standard number for sodium nitrite is GB1886.11-2016, which came into effect on January 1, 2017. As a food additive, there are strict regulations on the amount and use of sodium nitrite to prevent poisoning.

Used in the fertilizer, petroleum refining, and battery industries;
