Hydrochloric acid is an aqueous solution of hydrogen chloride (HCl), which is widely used in industry. Hydrochloric acid is a colorless and transparent liquid with a strong pungent smell and high corrosion. The concentration of concentrated hydrochloric acid is about 37%, which is extremely volatile.
