Sodium Silicate 40% is a product commonly called "Water Glass" or liquid glass, This non-hazardous chemical dries to glass like substance. Diluted 4:1 with water it can be used as a concrete sealer among other uses.

Properties: Its solution is alkaline. If add strong acids, weak acids and even electrolytes, it will hydrolyze and precipitate silica when it is heated or at room temperature.
