Paraformaldehyde- Class 4.1 Flammable Solid
Paraformaldehyde comprises white prill that comes with strong, pungent characteristic "formaldehyde" odor and finds use in different applications like as agricultural chemicals, coating, medicine, resins and other applications. The chemical is packed in quality HDPE packaging options in different weight ratings and at competitive prices.
Paraformaldehyde forms slowly in aqueous formaldehyde solutions as a white precipitate, especially if stored in the cold.Formalin actually contains very little monomeric formaldehyde; most of it forms short chains of polyformaldehyde.
A small amount of methanol is often added as a stabilier to limit the extent of polymerization.
