Silane Coupler Kh-560/Silane Coupling Agent Kh-560
3-Glycidoxypropyltrimethoxysilane, [3-(2,3-Epoxypropoxy)propyl]trimethoxysilane -3-aminopropyltrimethoxysilane is a kind of epoxy silane coupling agent. Epoxy can react with many kinds of resins. While, the Si-OH formed after the hydrolysis of the trimethoxy can have condensation reaction with the hydroxyl on the surface of the inorganic materials. Thus erected between inorganic materials and resins, "molecular bridge", to play a role in coupling. KH-560 is a colorless and transparent, low viscosity liquid, somewhat similar to the smell of rosin. 3-Glycidoxypropyltrimethoxysilane is soluble in aliphatic solvents and aromatic solvents such as alcohol, ether, and ketones. It is also soluble in water, however, hydrolysis occurs. Hydrolysates are not stable, and the storage period is short.
